Curious Civic Review

Editorial policy

Curious Civic Review aims to make civic life clearer without pretending that one account can speak for every community. We explain our choices, take care with claims and welcome corrections when something needs to be put right.

Accuracy and context

We check factual claims against appropriate material before publication and write so readers can distinguish established information from interpretation or suggestion. We avoid presenting a single example as universal. When a subject depends on local conditions, we say so and do not present general discussion as a substitute for checking relevant local information.

Independence

Editorial decisions, including what to cover and how to describe it, remain separate from partnership arrangements. A collaboration does not guarantee favourable coverage, and commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.

Corrections

If you believe an article contains an error, contact us with the article title and the detail you think needs correction. We review the point, make changes when warranted and clarify significant corrections in the relevant article so readers can understand what changed.

Partner material

Paid or otherwise agreed partner content is labelled clearly where it appears. Partner placements and editorial articles are presented distinctly; a partner placement is not an editorial endorsement.
